The last couple of months have been a whirlwind of stuff around here. Let me take a minute to summarize briefly a few of the events since Thanksgiving.

On December 8th, I had surgery #5 on my sinuses at UNC-Chapel Hill. I’m doing great!

Christmas was amazing!

We had some more staff changes at ROCK Church.

Gabriel and I spent 5 days in New York City visiting museums, the symphony and basically conquering Gotham in a matter of days.

We began another 21 days of fasting and prayer at ROCK Church. Today marks day 9. Only 12 more to go!

Jennifer is coming to the end of a 15 battle with migraines that landed her at the doctor’s office, the emergency room and then 5 nights at Duke University Hospital. Although she is not completely free of it, she is doing much better.

Also, somewhere in the midst of all this chaos, my blog became infected with a virus that destroyed almost 6 years of posts. Yes, I lost everything. Somehow it became infected in the weeks leading up to my surgery. Because I was giving everything I had to staying focused until surgery, I did not catch it in time. By the time I contacted my hosting provider, all of their backups were also infected.

So, today I press reset. I could cry over all of the lost posts. I could complain about how it’s not fair. I could find someone to blame. All of these options are lame and do nothing to move forward. Instead, I will press reset and move forward.

I hope you will enjoy me on this adventure as the slate has been wiped clean and we begin again.

13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13–14 (ESV)

What do you need to press reset on in your life?
