Pastor Tim Blevins is the real deal. I had the privilege of having lunch with him a few weeks ago and I left encouraged and inspired. Tim and his wife, Harriet, held the first service for Life Community on Easter Sunday of 2004 at Bradley Creek Elementary School. Over the last several years they have seen steady growth in their church. They currently meet in a building that was formerly Nevada Bob’s Golf Shop and have two services to accommodate their congregation.

On their website, Pastor Tim quotes John Wesley,

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergymen or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell.”

Anybody who quotes Wesley is a friend of mine and fellow trailblazer.

If you haven’t read Pastor Tim’s blog, you should go check it out. They are going big for God at Life Community Church. I pray often for God to provide a new, bigger building for their church that will allow them to grow and make an even bigger impact on our city. God has some big things planned for Life Community and I can’t wait to hear about it. Pastor Tim, The ROCK loves you and believes in you!

Pastors Tim & Diane lead a crazy bunch of radical believers over at Ultimate Faith Church who are going all out for God. I have many good friends at UFC that I consider to be my brothers and sisters. The vision for UFC is different from The ROCK but their purpose is to glorify the same God. Their mission is to “Reposition and Rebuild” people to live in “Ultimate Victory” as they rediscover their purpose in God’s Kingdom. UFC is fully persuaded what God says we “can do”, “can be” and “can have” is available to all of us as believers.

I believe God has big plans for UFC as they pursue God and make His name great in our city. PT & Diane, The ROCK loves you. I pray for you guys often and celebrate every time I hear a win for UFC.

Life Community Church, Ultimate Faith Church and The ROCK are three very different churches leading people in Wilmington toward the same God. Each of us have specific callings, purpose and destinies. That is what makes us unique and I celebrate that.

Why not comment and tell me about other church in our city that are rocking it for God?
