Yesterday marked another historic day at The ROCK. We introduced everyone to our new Director of Worship & Creative Arts, David Pray. David is the guy on the right. I’m the goofy looking guy on the left. David’s wife Karen brings the class to the picture above.

David and Karen are extremely gifted and we are honored to have them join our ROCK family. For the last four weeks, David has served as our Interim Director. Today, I had the honor of shortening his title by losing the “Interim”. If you are an artist, look out! David is gunning for you. We are headed to another level so hang on… HERE WE GO!

David & Karen, welcome to the team!

  1. That’s so awesome to hear man! I’m pumped for you guys!

    What is an "Interim Directory"?

  3. Helen, thanks for your encouragement. I knew that this decision was so important that it had to be bathed in prayer and fasting. God does speak if we will only slow down and listen.

John, you are a wise man to agree with your wife.

Paschal, we are gonna treat David like he is family, because that is what he and Karen are. I’m ready for us to take our Creative Arts Department to a Hole Nutha Level as Ed Young would say.

Rachel, Hang on. We are just getting started. However, much like Jennifer, David’s new title is Director not Pastor. I love the way Jim Wideman puts it, “Title is the lowest form of leadership”. David is another great example of not needing a title to do the work.

  4. I’m so excited that David is with us as our new creative arts director. Love his heart, love his passion for excellence, love his annointing, and love his humility. No doubt he will continue to push us all out of our comforts zones to be all that we can be for Christ in the gifts God has blessed us with.

…so I guess that means he’s Pastor David now!

  7. We are soooo excited. The whole thought of someone new was a little scary at first, but David is amazing. Thank you for being patient and willing to hear God’s heart and not be moved by what things seemed in the natural. We love you guys.
