Spurgeon vs Schrute

“Somebody has said a very nasty thing about us. Well, well; we will answer him when we have got through the work we have at hand, namely, praising God continually. At present we have a great work to do, and cannot come down to wrangle. Self-love and its natural irritations die in the blaze of praise.”
- Charles Spurgeon [via Jonathan Herron]

“Whenever I’m about to do something, I think, ‘Would an idiot do that?’ And if they would, I do not do that thing.” – Dwight Schrute

  1. I wonder if mom knows who Schrute is…that made me smile…her comment would have been a little more snide if she did. :)

  2. I think you should remember Schrute’s quote when you contemplate some of the
stuff you do—like diving with sharks, dropping into a skateboard bowl……skydiving…..

  3. i don’t know… i think schrute sums up spurgeon quite nicely. great quotes… both of them.

  4. That’s just not right..you can’t compare those two – it’s almost sacreligious….. (I don’t think I spelled that correctly, but I don’t know how to use spell check in the comment section :)
