I’m telling you, this past week has been amazing. Here are a few more thoughts from Dr. Myles Monroe on leadership.
- It doesn’t matter how many accolades you receive, your mind is what will keep you small.
- The difference between a leader and a follower is attitude.
- Unique attitudes distinguish leaders from followers.
- These attitudes produce certain behaviors that stretch the leader beyond the limitations of the norm.
- Attitude is a product of belief.
- No one can live beyond the limits of their beliefs.
- No amount of training in leadership skills, courses in management methods, power titles, promotions or associations can substitute for the right attitudes.
- Cultivating certain attitudes about yourself will give you the mindset you need to develop your leadership potential.
- When the attitude of leadership is married to the ability of leadership then you become a true leader.
- We can never fully carry out the mandate of leadership if we don’t have the mentality of leadership.
- Integrating attitude, attributes, aptitude and altitude produces leadership.
- It’s not ability – it’s mentality.
- Trapped in every follower is a hidden leader.
- The goal of true leadership is to release the hidden leader in their followers.
- True leadership focuses on producing leaders not maintaining followers.
- The capacity and the ability to lead reside in every human.
- Leadership is like a tree trapped in a seed.
- Leadership manifestation requires the right environment, cultivation and opportunity.
- True leadership is manifested in ATTITUDE.
Your leadership development is determined by
- Your perception of who you are
- Why you think you exist
- Your sense of significance to life.
THE LEADERSHIP SPIRIT
- The leadership spirit is the inherent spirit of mankind that possess the natural qualities and characteristics of the Creator.
- Every human being possesses this spirit, but very few ever discover this truth and fewer still are aware it can be manifested.
- You were born to lead but you must become a leader.
This one is my favorite.
The greatest enemy of progress is your last success.
